Happiness Project: Happy Forever

This post is response to my Old blog for the Happiness Project from Alex Shalman.

Below is the answer for the questions posted by Alex:

1. How do you define happiness?

Happiness mean have a good and enjoy feeling about what you have. In fact, in my opinion, happiness can be acquired by having a positive thinking whenever and wherever. Always look at the bright side of everything and learn from it, then you will always have a good feeling. A lot of people tend to define happiness by having a lot of money. You see, by having a lot of money alone does not guarantee happiness, in fact, some of the richer do not feel happy because they have bigger problem for them to worry. So, in stead of worry about everything, why don’t learn how to look at the bright side of it and enjoy the learning. Always think from a different angle on how can you see the good thing about your matter and improve from there, then you will always be happy. 🙂

2. On a scale of 1-10, how would you rate your happiness now, versus when you were a child?

To be honest, it is difficult. If a number is compulsory, I would say 10 to 7. 10 for now and 7 for my past. Why? Because when I was still a kid, I just followed my emotion, whenever something appears following my wish, I will be happy. On the other hand, if it happened to be not good, I will just unhappy for the rest of the day. Compare to now, along the journey of my life, I have learned a lot of things and of course, one of them is to maintain positive thinking and attitude because I firmly believe that by having that mind set, it will drive you to success and happiness.

3. What do you do on a daily basis that brings you happiness? (and how consistent is the feeling of happiness throughout your day)

Always tell myself consciously to maintain positive thinking and attitude. Always mix with positive thinking people. Carry my vision board with me all the time ( :P, not the big card vision board you have hanged in your bedroom, it is the small vision board card which can fit into your wallet) and look at it whenever possible. Enjoy what I have now. Always talk to my love one and express how grateful to have her with me for my life. Look at my family photo and enjoy the moment.

4. What things take away from your happiness? What can be done to lessen their impact or remove them from your life?

Negative thinking and people, stress from the work tends to affect my level of happiness each day. So I always try to avoid those people, of course, in a polite way. And to plan my work more efficiently and do the items listed in the question 3 to keep myself happy.

5. What do you plan on doing in the future that will bring you even more happiness?

While continue to do what I have listed in question 3, I plan to contribute by sharing my idea of happiness with the people around. Then to inspire people to have a positive mind set. Furthermore, I would like to contribute to the society by helping the poorer and the unfortunate one. To make the world a better place.
